Caroline Preston

Wigmore High School - Leadership of Curriculum, English

I have worked as Head of English at Wigmore, a rural 11 – 16 School, for 15 years. My department’s results at KS4 have been consistently well above average and pupil progress deemed to be outstanding. I have worked across the school promoting literacy and carried out research across the subjects as part of my NPQSL course. As a federated school, we have close links with the Primary school. Most recently, I have shared experience and expertise with the new KS2 tests, to improve transition and ensure that levels of challenge and support are appropriate at KS3.
